‘Mummy ko bolo Complan pilaaye’ – Fans in splits after image of TV anchor standing between Ian Bishop and Curtly Ambrose goes viral on internet

The opening match of the two-match Test series between India and the West Indies took place in Dominica on July 12, 2023. Both teams wanted to get off to a strong start in the 2023–25 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. However, the Men in Blue dominated the match from the start and clinched a massive win by an inning and 141 runs.

Meanwhile, an image is getting viral on the internet where a TV anchor can be seen standing between the former legendary West Indies players Ian Bishop and Curtly Ambrose. Fans were in splits after seeing the image as both the former players were looking very tall while the anchor was looking too small in front of them. Many fans reacted to the image and responded with hilarious tweets.

Talking about the match, West opted to bat first after winning the toss but the tricky surface in Dominica ruined their decision and they were bundled out for just 150 runs in the first innings. Debutant Alick Athanaze was the highest scorer for the Caribbean side as he scored 47 runs. For India, R Ashwin was the highest wicket-taker picking up 5 wickets.

A brilliant all-round performance by the Indian team

Fans expected something like ‘Bazball’ from the Indian batters with the presence of destructive batters like Yashasvi Jasiwal and Ishan Kishan who were also making their Test debut. But that didn’t happen, as the surface didn’t let the openers Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma bat freely and they had to approach the defensive stance.

Both ended up smashing centuries for themselves and set the foundation of a big total for the team. Virat Kohli also played a decent knock of 76 runs and the Indian declared their innings on the score of 421 runs. However, the Caribbean batter continued their horrible batting display and all the batters were dismissed on the score of just 130 runs. Ashwin once again shone and picked 7 wickets in the 2nd innings making his total wicket tally to 12.
