‘Money can’t buy class’ – Fans fume as Harmanpreet Kaur misbehaves during India vs Bangladesh ODI series trophy presentation

Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has become a hot topic after the controversial statements she gave during the post-match presentation of the 3rd ODI. India vs Bangladesh ODI series ended up in a draw after the 3rd and the last match got tied. The Indian team were in a great position before the Bangladeshi bowlers made a brilliant comeback in the game and managed to draw the series 1-1.

Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on the internet in which she can be seen misbehaving during the presentation ceremony and asking the organisers to bring out the umpires also when the two skippers were presented with the trophy. Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana was unhappy with her comments and made her players return to the dressing room.

Some pathetic umpiring was done: Harmanpreet Kaur

Harmanpreet also expressed her disappointment and didn’t get shy to slam the umpires for their poor decisions throughout the series. She said that the team will prepare their mindset and what they will have to face before going on a Bangladesh tour. She appreciated how Bangladeshi batters displayed a brilliant batting performance but things could’ve been different if the umpiring was not pathetic.

“I think (there is) a lot of learning for us from the game. Even apart from the cricket, the kind of umpiring that was happening, we were very surprised. The next time we come to Bangladesh we will make sure we have to deal with this type of umpiring and prepare ourselves accordingly,” Harmanpreet said in the post-match presentation.

“They (Bangladesh) batted really well, batted according to the situation. They were taking those singles which were very crucial. In between, we leaked a few runs but we controlled the game very well when we were batting, but as I mentioned earlier, some pathetic umpiring was done. We are really disappointed about some decisions given by the umpires,” she added.
