On 26 July 2023, Inter Miami registered a thumping victory over Atlanta United in their second game of the ongoing Leagues Cup. They defeated Atlanta United 4-0 and now, after two wins, they are handsomely sitting at the top of the group with six Points. Lionel Messi put up an incredible performance once again just as he did in his debut game.

He scored two goals while assisting one and he started the game with the captain’s armband also. Meanwhile, like in the first game, many celebrities attended that game to have a glimpse of Messi. Camilo Cabello was one of them and she shared some adorable pictures on her Instagram. In those pictures, she was seen wearing an Inter Miami jersey and having a moment with the Argentine legend.

So, it was quite a fan-girl moment for her to see Lionel Messi from that close range. 

As quoted by The Athletic, the Inter-Miami co-owner and former England player, David Beckham recently shared his view on accomplishing the signing of Lionel Messi for the MLS side. He said: “This will be up there with the biggest moves in American sporting history. And we’re talking about the biggest sporting market in the world. Bringing Leo Messi to Inter Miami, to MLS, the year after he wins the World Cup, to a team that is three years old… it’s a hell of an achievement. I never thought I would have the same feeling as an owner as I had when I was a player. When I got the phone call, I had the feeling I had when I walked out at Old Trafford or Wembley. I was like, ‘We’ve just beaten all competition to sign the greatest player to ever play our game’.”
