Mbappe wants to kick out Neymar from PSG?

PSG star Kylian Mbappe became PSG’s record signing when he decided to snub Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old recently signed a new three-year deal worth £650,000-a-week with the French champions.

But this seems to have gone to Mbappe’s head and looks like, he wants to play a major role not just on the field but also outside of it.

That’s why reports suggest that Mbappe wants to see 12 people leave the French side this summer.

He is seeking a total overhaul and wants manager Mauricio Pochettino and Brazilian star, Neymar out.

Apparently, Mbappe is not happy with other team members like Mauro Icardi, Julian Draxler, Ander Herrera, Idrissa Gueye, Leandro Paredes and Thilo Kehrer.

His other possible targets are Danilo Pereira, Kurzawa, Pablo Sarabia, Juan Bernat, Colin Dagba and Sergio Rico.

Mbappe believes they are not on his level and are dragging the team down.

What about Neymar?

The Qatari board of the club are tired of the Brazilian’s attitude.

He has gone down in the pecking order.

From being a main protagonist, he has seen his status downgraded to a supporting role, under Pochettino.

Due to Neymar’s lack of contribution, the relationship between Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, has worsened.

There are rumours that Mbappe has been speaking about Neymar behind his back.

This means a total breakdown in relations between the two stars.

Even though PSG might be willing to sell Neymar, it will be a difficult task to find him a buyer.

The main reason is Neymar’s high wage.

He currently earns around four million euros a month at Paris.

The big clubs who can afford his wages – Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have no interest in signing him.

Moreover, Neymar is now used to Paris and doesn’t want to leave the city.

The only unlikely possibility is Newcastle United who could spring a surprise by making a move for Neymar.

Pochettino’s future

Poch’s reign has been termed as a failure.

He has failed to progress in the Champions League despite the presence of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.

Clearly he has been made a scapegoat but is already facing intense scrutiny about his future, even though he is under contract until the end of next season.

Pochettino has made the right sounds.

The 50-year-old said, “I want to stay 100 percent here.”

“I have one more year left on my contract. The challenges are there and it motivates any coach.”

“PSG are a club with ambition. The big disappointment is the Champions League elimination because of the desire of the people.”

But if Mbappe has his way, Pochettino’s days could be numbered.

The only thing that could be saving Pochettino is the lack of replacements.

Mbappe was keen to have Zidane as the manager but the French icon refused.

It’s sad that despite leading PSG to the Ligue 1 title, the former Tottenham boss could still get the boot.
