Marcos Gaming crowned champions of The Draft Season 1

The grand finals of The Draft hosted by Nodwin Gaming and Blast have finally concluded. This was the first time Indian and Pakistani teams competed in an international tournament with professional players.

Making a huge comeback after facing defeat in the upper bracket, Marcos Gaming has now secured The Draft Season 1 championship. The team defeated True Rippers in an intense best-of-five grand finale.

The Final Showdown

Marcos Gaming first saw defeat in the upper bracket by the hands of True Rippers, sending them to the lower bracket finals. From there, they defeated Pak Boyz and qualified for the grand finals to face True Rippers once again.

This time around, starting with Vertigo, picked by True Rippers. However, the choice did not favour the team as Marcos ended up taking the match with a 13-11 score. The second was Ancient by Marcos Gaming who ended up dominating True Rippers once again with a 13-7 victory.

The grand finals was also best-of-three, this was a done deal for True Rippers. Macros are just one map win away from victory now, but True Rippers are not ready to give up just yet. The third map saw a comeback from them on Mirage with a 13-11 score.

This continued on the fourth map, Inferno picked by Macros Gaming with a 13-8 victory, landing both teams on a 2-2 score.

It was now time for the decider map on Overpass. Sadly, True Rippers fumbled and Macros Gaming took full advantage and ended the game with a 13-3 victory and taking home the championship. Along with that, the team also became the first team to secure the champion title in The Draft.
