Man City ready to sell Sterling
It’s open knowledge that Raheem Sterling has seen his minutes reduced in the recent past.
Hence it comes as no surprise that Manchester City are open to selling Raheem.
Sterling has made just six starts for the Premier League champions across all competitions so far this season.
The 26-year-old has scored just four goals for the Blues since February.
This is a minuscule amount considering the forward netted 31 times during the 2019/20 season and 25 times in the season prior.
Man City set their price
City values Raheem Sterling at around £45m.
Barcelona is one of the clubs that has shown an interest in taking Sterling on loan.
Arsenal’s Arteta is also a Sterling fan and could move for him if the price is right.
Sterling, 26, joined City in a £50m deal from rivals Liverpool in 2015.
He has hit an impressive 116 goals in 307 appearances during his six seasons at the Etihad.
However, Sterling has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola.
He is being kept out of the side by the likes of Phil Foden and Jack Grealish.
Guardiola dropped Sterling in response to his side’s tendency to get exploited on counter-attacks.
City have changed their strategy and are now adopting a more methodical build-up that plays to the strengths of Foden, Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne.
Sterling’s future at Manchester City was thrown into further doubt, when he recently said – “If there was the opportunity to go somewhere else for more game time, I would be open to it at this moment in time.”
No matter where he goes, we are sure that Sterling will be an asset.
