‘Let me be a little aloof’ – Varun Dhawan reveals he didn’t talk to his co-star Janhvi Kapoor during initial days of ‘Bawaal’ shoot
The release of Bollywood star Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s forthcoming film Bawaal which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari is soon going to release on the OTT platform. A few days ago, the much-awaited movie’s trailer was launched during an event held in Dubai. With this movie, the chemistry between both actors has become very well in real life as well and It is clear that Varun and Janhvi share a close bond after seeing their friendly banter on social media.
Meanwhile, Varun recently made an interesting revelation about him and his co-star Janhvi. Varun said that he didn’t talk to Janhvi for the first month of the shoot intentionally. All the talks were about work-related he revealed. Varun said that they both would become friends easily so he tried to make things a little difficult and complicated.
“Initially, at least for the first month we went on set, I tried this thing where I said I won’t communicate with her much. Because I felt we’ll become friends like this (snaps). I said let me not and let me be a little aloof, a little cold. I’ll talk to everyone else but her, and purposely,” Varun was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

However, Varun admitted that it did benefit them both at the time as both of their characters in the movie progressively get to know each other. Later, when Janhvi also became aware of it, he revealed to her the cause of his aloofness. ‘Bawaal‘ will be premiered on Amazon Prime on July 21.
“I felt it might evoke something in her and something in me when we were doing scenes of that nature. (Nitesh) Sir was on this. And then eventually, I told her after 20 days. Then she realised it, otherwise, she took it personally. See, I did it selfishly but I think it helped both of us at that time. Actually, in the film, how gradually the couple got to know each other, we also got to know each other gradually, which was interesting,” he added.
