‘Kya baat hain wah wah’ – Fans react as Haryana school postpones Unit Test due to India vs Australia 2023 World Cup final

The World Cup fever has gripped the country for over a month now and now it is at its peak as the Men in Blue set to face off in the final. The world’s largest cricket venue in Ahmedabad will host the ultimate clash between India and Australia on Sunday, November 19. With two of the heavyweights locking horns, a nail-biting thriller can be expected at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Rohit Sharma and Co. have been getting a lot of support and love from the fans throughout the tournament. The team did not disappoint the fans as the two-time champions have had a tremendous campaign with 10 straight wins. They are up for a final push and the fans are ready to cheer and roar for their favourites to avenge their heartbreak in the 2003 final.

The craze for the epic clash has even reached schools. In a great gesture, a school in Haryana’s Faridabad has decided to postpone the unit test for Class VI to Class XII. A picture of the school principal’s notice has gone viral on social media, with fans appreciating their decision not to disrupt students from experiencing the grand finale.

The notification reads, “In view of the IND-AUS ICC Cricket World Cup (final) which is scheduled for 19th November 2023 i.e. Sunday and taking into consideration numerous requests received from the Student Body, the Unit Test for Classes VI to XII which was scheduled for 20th November 2023 i.e. Monday will now be held on 21st November 2023 i.e. Tuesday.”

India skipper Rohit Sharma addressed the media on the eve of the summit clash. The veteran opener has discussed a lot of things, including the team combination and pitch analyses. The 36-year-old said that they have been preparing for the World Cup final since he became the captain of the team. He added that all the players have been given clear roles and are confident of winning the final battle.

“We have prepared for this day ever since I became the captain. We had to identify players in the last 2 years, as per the formats. We had given role clarity and lots of discussions between the captain and coach. The importance of role clarity is huge for us reaching this platform. We have tried our best to keep the mindset and roles clear. So far so good, hopefully tomorrow as well.”
