Kuldeep Yadav’s sizzling all-round performance helped India to a fantastic win over Bangladesh in the 1st Test at Chattogram today.

Playing his first Test after more than 22 months, Kuldeep continued his ‘birthday’ party a day after turning 28, in his sensational run with the bat and ball.

He last played against England in the month of February last year in 2021.

The selectors ignored the wrist spinner repeatedly and he was out of the team despite some good performances.

However, Kuldeep didn’t lose hope and has emerged on top, thanks to his strong character and innate will-power.

In the first innings, batting at number nine, the left-hander first came up with a career-best 40 from 114 balls (5×4) in a 92-run eighth wicket partnership with veteran Ravichandran Ashwin.

Kuldeep, who has a century and six fifties averaging 22-plus in first class cricket, got off the mark after 18 balls as he looked solid with his defence.

His slog sweep and reverse sweep shots showed his confidence. His innings lasted 114 balls with five fours.

He also went on to bag 8 wickets in the match including a five-for in the first innings of Bangladesh.

There’s a noticeable difference in Kuldeep’s bowling action now.

The follow-through isn’t taking him off balance any longer, while his body posture too remains straightish at the time of the release.

If he carries on with his form in the rest of the series, he might be in contention for the upcoming Test series against Australia.

The cricket fans also lavished their praises on Kuldeep for a brilliant Test comeback after being ignored for a time period.

Notably, Kuldeep has always lived up to the expectations in the longest format of the game.

He has scalped 34 wickets in 14 innings of the eight Tests played so far.

In these appearances, the Uttar Pradesh cricketer has 3 five-wicket hauls to his name.

We hope the Kanpur spinner builds on this performance and serves Indian cricket for a long time to come!
