India and Bangladesh are locking horns for the second semifinal of the Emerging Asia Cup 2023. While Pakistan has beaten Sri Lanka by 60 runs to seal a spot in the final, India and Bangladesh are looking to book the remaining seat. Meanwhile, the Green Brigade, Bangladesh won the toss and put the Men In Blue in on a tired wicket.

The Yash Dhull-led side had a poor start as last match centurion, Sai Sudarshan (21) got out in the eighth over. The likes of Abhishek Sharma and Nikin Jose tried to steady the ship with a partnership of 46 runs in 10.1 overs. After they got out, the team was reduced to 137/7 at one stage. Jose scored 17 off 29 balls while Sharma got 34 off 63 balls. The likes of Riyan Parag (5), Dhruv Jurel (1), Harshit Rana (9), and Nishant Sandhu (12) failed to make an impact.

Yash Dhull’s half-century took the team to 211 all-out on a sluggish surface

At 137/7, the likes of Dhull and Manav Suthar put together vital 41 runs for the eighth wicket. The latter scored 21 off 24 balls. After he got out, Rajvardhan Hangargekar scored 15 off 12 balls. In the end, Dhull amassed 66 off 85 balls to take the team to 211 runs at the end of the first innings.

In reply, Bangladesh has amassed 52/0 in just eight overs. It seems that they are playing on a different surface.
