Kiran Rao has reacted to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s statement on Aamir Khan. Kiran was one of the big critics of Sandeep’s ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and called it a misogynistic movie. The statement of Kiran did not go well with Sandeep, who asked her to recall the movies of Aamir which he felt were misogynistic as well. Kiran has addressed the opinion of Sandeep.

The Bollywood film-maker initially refused to accept the fact that she criticized the movie of Sandeep. When the user account of the movie showed proof regarding her statement, Kiran gave her opinion on the issue. Kiran claimed that Sandeep must talk directly to Aamir in case he has problems with the star actor. Kiran added that she is not responsible for Aamir or his work.

She felt that Sandeep or anyone else must address their issue with Aamir directly with him, and not with her. “If Mr. Vanga has something to tell Aamir, he should tell him man to man. I’m not responsible for Aamir’s work or Aamir Khan. I wish Mr. Reddy would address his questions directly to Mr. Khan,” said Kiran while reacting to the statement of Vanga.

There are very few people who would look back at their body of work’ – Kiran Rao

Kiran then recalled a past incident where Khan was wrong. She claimed that Aamir recently apologized to her looking back at the incident. Rao claimed that such quality of the individuals is laudable and rare to witness. It is not the first time that Sandeep has addressed the criticism of his movie. Recently, he hit back at Javed Akhtar’s take on ‘Animal’. Sandeep pointed out some of the works of Farhan Akhtar in recent times.

“There are very few people who would look back at their body of work and apologize for doing something problematic in retrospect. And that’s really laudable,” added Kiran in her statement. Coincidentally, in both instances, Sandeep targeted the works of someone related to the person who criticized his work. Kiran has directed ‘Laapataa Ladies’. Aamir has also co-produced the movie, which is set to hit the big screens soon.
