What you call ‘gay, ‘fag,’ or ‘homo’ today, when used in a negative manner, was called pansy back then.”

Karan Johar reveals SRK’s advice:

The director went on to say, “Pansy was a word that literally had really pushed me into a shell.” Karan then goes on to praise Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and confesses, Shah Rukh Khan was the first man that didn’t make me feel lesser.” In case you didn’t know, SRK and KJo are good friends, and the actor has starred in several of Karan Johar’s films.
