Karan Johar feels bad about one of past associations with Shah Rukh Khan

Karan Johar has regretted one of his past movies as a director with Shah Rukh Khan. Karan has expressed his opinions on Kabhi Alvidaa Naa Kehna and felt he could have made some improvements to make it a better product for viewing. When it was released back in 2006, the movie received huge criticism for supporting infidelity. Karan has expressed his sadness about the same.

The movie had the likes of Rani Mukerji, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Preity Zinta in the lead roles. Many of Karan’s works have been regarded as mammoth hits at the box office. As a director, Karan has accomplished a lot. Yet, he regrets about the 2006 movie to date. Karan was in a recent interview where he opened up about the same.

When asked about the aspects of one of his movies he would like to rectify, Karan took some time and revealed the name of Kabhi Alvidaa Naa Kehna (KANK). He felt that some of his movies were the product of his emotions. However, Karan added that he could have packaged KANK in a different way had he got an opportunity to do so in today’s time.

Back in time, Karan was criticized for endorsing fidelity through the movie. He had made an effort to clarify that he did not, as the topic was already sold. In the interview, he revealed that he had decided to have a child through surrogacy and informed the same to his mother. Karan Johar claimed that his mother questioned his future as he was 40 by then and was unmarried.

Karan added that his mother was happy when he talked about having a child. Karan claimed her mother was happy that he was going to have his own family. Karan added that despite the criticism on his movies and filmography as a director and as a producer, his children, Yash and Roohi, have not been exposed to trolls and abuses on social media by anyone to date.
