Kangana Ranaut takes dig at Karan Johar amid success of ‘Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani’

Kangana Ranaut again fired her shots with a sly dig at Karan Johar for the success of his film ‘Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani’. The film hit the theatres back on 28 July, Friday and has been warmly received by the audience. However, Manikarnika fame Kangana wrote on Instagram saying it is okay for the ‘movie mafia’ to buy success for their work but they must refrain from buying negativity for others. She also added that media houses avoid spreading fake news and distorting others’ reputations.

While the 36-year-old actress refrained from taking any names on social media, it was quite obvious that be targeted the ‘Dharma Productions’ boss. Kangana Ranaut’s latest Insta story read, “My sincere request to the movie mafia, please buy as much fake success you want to buy for yourself, good for you if that fulfils you and makes you happy but don’t buy negativity for us, also a request to media people please don’t take any assignment to sabotage careers and movies…It’s ok to say yes to positive paid PR. Most papers and websites survive on advertisement so one can see paid PR also in that light, but please say no to spreading wrong/fake news to sabotage/distort other’s work or their overall perception.”

This is not the first time Kangana has called out the ‘movie mafia’ for spreading fake news and distortion against her work. She earlier claimed that they were creating all sorts of problems when her movie ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ was released. She claimed, “People are sending me messages that they are loving the poetry in the film, yes all the shayari in the film is written by me… also movie mafia doing everything to harm my film, fake reviews, and smear campaign started even before it’s release.”

Talking of her upcoming professional commitments, Kangana will be seen in the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming political drama, ‘Emergency’. She will also appear in Sarvesh Mewara’s Tejas.
