Last year, rumours circulated that Jennifer Winget and Karthik Aaryan would co-star in Anurag Basu’s next film Aashiqui 3. However, the film’s creators later claimed in a statement that they were still searching for the “perfect fit” for their project.

There was no substance to any rumours about the female protagonist opposite Kartik Aaryan in Aashiqui 3, according to the statement. A source stated, “The hunt for the movie’s ideal match is still ongoing. We are still at the very early stages of the production and are continually coming up with concepts. We are anxious to announce the female lead of the movie, just like the public, and would like to do it as soon as feasible.”
