Jawan movie advance booking mints $10 million in US, set for a whopping $1 billion on first day

The upcoming Jawan movie starring Shah Rukh Khan is already a hit. The movie is allegedly in line for a record-breaking first-day box office haul. The movie is expected to make $1 billion on its opening day, and it has already made $10 million in advance bookings in the US, according to multiple reports. At this point, the movie’s release is still two weeks away.

Two weeks prior to the movie’s September 7 release, trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan said on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Jawan’s advance bookings in the United States have surpassed $150,000 (more than Rs 1.25 crore). The post stated, “USA advance reservations for #Jawan are excellent. Surpasses $150K. Advance sales: $151,187; Locations: 367; Shows: 1607; Tickets: 9691.”

Nearly three weeks prior to the movie’s premiere, advance bookings for Jawan began in a few global markets last week. This is unusual for an Indian movie but not surprising given Shah Rukh’s prominence in the US, UK, and Middle East.
