Jawan Box Office Report- The Shah Rukh Khan starrer bags 600 Cr worldwide!
‘Jawan’ by Shah Rukh Khan is on track to achieve yet another milestone. The September 7 release of the movie is getting closer to joining the Rs 350 crore club in India. The Atlee-directed action film surpassed the Rs 600-crore mark globally in less than a week. The movie continues to break nearly all previous records for a Hindi-language movie.
Box office success for ‘Jawan’, the movie made Rs 74.50 crore in India on Day 1 across all languages. The movie went on to earn Rs 129.06 crores globally, making it the highest opening day in Hindi film history. On Day 6, September 12, ‘Jawan’ reportedly brought in Rs 26.50 crore net in India, according to trade reports. The entire amount collected in India as a result is currently Rs 345.58 crore. On September 11, ‘Jawan’ had a total occupancy rate of 26.28 per cent.
By surpassing ‘Gadar 2′ and ‘Pathaan,’ SRK’s movie has become the fastest to reach the Rs 300-crore club (nett BOC Hindi). ‘Jawan’ broke through this barrier on Day 6, ‘Pathaan’ did so on Day 7, and ‘Gadar 2’ did so on Day 8. However, according to industry expert Ramesh Bala, ‘Jawan’ has already surpassed the Rs 600-crore milestone worldwide at the box office.
Jawan is minting big bucks
On September 7, 2023, the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions of ‘Jawan’ were shown in theatres around the world. Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani also appear in the Atlee-directed movie. A lengthy cameo appearance is made by Deepika Padukone.
SRK plays both an intelligence officer and a thief in the commercially successful comedy. The movie was filmed in Aurangabad, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Rajasthan, and Chennai. Anirudh Ravichander made his Bollywood solo composing debut with the score for the movie.
The story revolves around a guy who is motivated by a personal grudge to right the wrongs in society and fulfil a long-term promise. He encounters a terrifying outlaw who has terrorised many people and caused them great sorrow.
Along with Sanjay Dutt making a brief cameo, Jawan also stars Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan co-star, as Aishwarya Rathore, the actor’s wife. In supporting parts, it also stars Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharjee, and Lehar Khan. On September 7, the movie opened in theatres around the world in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
