‘It’s hard enough to manage between two’ – Zayn Malik opens up on altercation with his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid’s mother

Popular music artist Zayn Malik, who often remains inactive on social media and didn’t even drop a song for a while, recently gave an interview for the first time in 6 years to Alex Cooper on her famous podcast “Call Her Daddy”. Zayn talked about multiple things which are related to his life and also opened up about many controversial things as well.

The 30-year-old star singer opened up on the allegations which were made against him by his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid’s mother Yolanda Hadid. Yolanda accused Zayn of pushing her during a family altercation. Zayn never talked about it earlier, however, now he has opened up on it and said that he didn’t want to discuss personal things in front of the public as it can affect his daughter.

“I just wasn’t trying to get into a negative back and forth with her. Any narrative online where my daughter was going to look back and read that and be able to read into it. I believe I dealt with it in the best way like in an amicable, respectful way and that’s all that needs to be said, you know; yeah, just I feel like it’s a lot of negativity. If something happens in the family, I’d rather keep that between the family, you know, you don’t need a whole audience of people and opinions because it’s hard enough to manage between two,” Zayn was quoted as saying by India Today.

Zayn and Gigi dated for a long time but called it off in 2021 after Zayn’s fight with the supermodel’s mother. They decided to share joint custody of their daughter ‘Khai’. Zayn talked about him being a dad and said that he always tries to be a good example to her daughter and this is the reason why he did this interview.

“Since I’ve had my daughter, the main thing in my mind is trying to be a good example to her. That’s why I’m even doing this interview, you know? I used to get a lot of anxiety around having a conversation like this. And I want her to be able to look at me and be like, ‘Yo, my dad’s doing this’,” Zayn added.
