‘Ise bolte hain blockbuster’ – Fans react as Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ gets mega opening, breaks all Bollywood’s previous records

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come back with a blast with his second movie of 2023 Jawan after the critically acclaimed Pathaan, and the anticipation for its release indicated that it will break even more box office records. The movie has lived up to the expectations so far as almost all theatres in several parts of the country were housefull. It is also expected that this movie will break all of Bollwood’s previous records.

The Atlee-directed movie has a strong ensemble cast, a convoluted storyline, action, music, and a wide range of emotions. Anirudh Ravichander, who composed the music for the movie, became popular among Hindi music listeners because of the songs and soundtrack, which were well-received by viewers. 

As fans flocked to the 6 a.m. showing on Thursday, Jawan debuted to packed theatres and enthusiastic fan celebrations. Given the anticipation for the movie, it is not unexpected that trade analysts and insiders in the film business have forecast an INR 100 crore opening for Jawan. 

Brilliant response from the audience as well

In addition, it is expected to surpass Shah Rukh’s January box office smash Pathaan. On the other hand, some fans were disappointed who were hoping to see Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 teaser with the movie on Thursday as it didn’t appear in the theatres.

Talking about the movie, Vijay Sethupathi plays the main antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s debut movie with Nayanthara. Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Girija Oak, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya are also part of the strong women in the cast. 

There are several videos which are circulated on social media in which fans can be seen dancing and shouting inside the theatres in some of the thrilling scenes of the movie. Almost every movie critic and media house has already declared the movie as Blockbuster. It would be interesting to see how will it perform in the coming days and how much time will it take to surpass the records created by Sunny Deol’s recently released Gadar 2.
