Bollywood movies and actors too are now facing the negative side of social media with boycott culture surfacing everywhere.

Laal Singh Chaddha succumbed to the boycott trends due to which it is suffering badly at the box office.

But even after Laal Singh Chaddha dipped, social media users are still not done with boycotting Bollywood movies.

After Laal Singh Chaddha, #BoycottBrahmastra, #BoycottPathan, and #BoycottVikramVedha are also trending on Twitter which is worrisome for the makers and actors of the respective films.

Pathan releasing in January 2023 is already getting the boycott heat due to SRK’s behavior with a fan and Deepika Padukone’s JNU visit.

But fans and fan pages of SRK have come to his rescue with #Pathanfirstdayfirstshow which is now trending on Twitter.

Here’s hoping it’s enough to save the film.

Brahmastra, stated to release on 9th September which is also highly anticipated, is facing backlash due to Ranbir Kapoor’s cameo in PK in 2014 and Soni Razdan’s (Alia Bhatt’s mom) comments on moving to Pakistan.

Nepotism is also being brought into the equation since Ranbir and Alia are both star kids. Karan Johar, who’s the producer, and Ayan Mukerji who has directed the film are already worried as the release approaches closer.

Hrithik Roshan starrer Vikram Vedha, another big release of the year recently became prey to the boycott trend because of Hrithik’s positive comments about Laal Singh Chaddha after he saw the movie and urged his fans to do the same.

Boycott trend or cancel culture is itself trending which is concerning for BTown. How these movies will fare and how far will the boycott trend go, only time will tell.
