Ansu Fati is Barcelona’s most prized asset, along with Pedro and Gavi.

Yet, something seems amiss.

As per reports, Ansu Fati is getting increasingly peeved with manager Xavi’s team selection.

Two days after beating Villarreal 3-0, Barcelona cruised to yet another easy by thrashing Athletic Club 4-0 on Sunday night at Camp Nou.

Xavi made some notable changes to the starting XI for the game.

Admittedly, his decisions paid off handsomely as Barca emerged convincing victors.

However, one player who is not happy with these frequent changes is Ansu Fati.

The 19-year-old has had very few starting opportunities this season.

This is despite the fact that he made a major impact against Villarreal after starting the match.

However, yet again, he was on the bench against Athletic Bilbao.

From what we hear, Fati’s family is upset with Xavi and the club due to his lack of continuity in the starting lineup.

This is understandable as the FIFA World Cup coming up in less than a month.

Fati has had bad luck with injuries and just when he is working hard to get back into groove, his game time has been limited by Xavi.

Xavi and his staff defend their actions by saying that are going slow with Fati due to his injury record.

But this justification is not going down down too well with Fati’s camp.

Fact is, the player sees himself as a starter and does not like coming on from the bench.

While Fati has played in all of Barcelona’s 15 official matches so far this term in all competitions, he has started just three of those.

In those matches, he has made an impact with three goals and three assists.

With Barcelona scheduled to play five more games before the World Cup break, it will be interesting to see whether Fati gets more minutes.
