Indian Cricket team’s pacer Deepak Chahar has been swiftly added to the T20I squad currently hosting Australia in a five-match series. This development comes on the heels of fellow pacer Mukesh Kumar’s request to the Indian Cricket Board for leave due to personal reasons – a leave granted as Mukesh prepares to tie the knot.

As Chahar steps into the squad for the remainder of the series, fans are expressing mixed sentiments. While many have extended their best wishes to Chahar for his inclusion, some fans on social media have questioned the timing, attributing his sudden availability to the impending Indian Premier League (IPL). They speculate that Chahar’s swift recovery could be linked to the lucrative T20 tournament, just around the corner.

In Mukesh’s absence, Avesh Khan has been designated as his replacement for the ongoing third T20I in Guwahati. While some fans have expressed discontent over Mukesh opting for personal commitments over national duties, it’s crucial to acknowledge the uniqueness of life events that occur only once. Understanding the player’s situation becomes imperative, recognising the significance of these personal milestones in their lives.

Australia made 3 changes for the 3rd T20I

While Chahar’s return adds firepower to the Indian pace attack, it remains to be seen how this unexpected twist will influence the remainder of the series against Australia. Talking about the match, Australian captain Matthew Wade opted to field first after winning the toss. He said that the dew might take place which will play a big role in 2nd innings. He also revealed the 3 changes Australia made in the 3rd T20I. They have lost the first 2 matches of the game and this is a must-win match for them.

“We will bowl. I don’t think it matters a lot, dew should settle in early. We are not 100% sure, but it’s quite wet already and could only become a bigger factor. We were short in a couple of phases, but the boys are in good shape. We have a few going out after this game – Travis Head, Kane Richardson and Jason Behrendorff.” Wade was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
