Indian cricket team have overpowered Australia in the ongoing 3-match ODI series in which they have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead by winning the first 2 matches convincingly. However, the action will now move towards the 3rd and final match of the series which is set to take place on Wednesday, September 27 in Rajkot.

The Indian team management decided to give rest to key players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Siraj for the first two matches. However, all these players will be returning to the squad to play the 3rd ODI which will also be India’s last international match before the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. So, there will be multiple changes in the squad for the last match of the series.

Here’s India’s probable playing XI for the 3rd ODI

Top Order

India’s regular skipper Rohit will be seen opening the innings in the 3rd ODI. It is to be believed that he will be joined by the left-handed batter Ishan Kishan as there were reports of Shubman Gill being rested. Former captain Virat Kohli will also make his return in the squad and will be seen playing at the no. 3 position.

Middle-order and Allrounders

The 2nd match centurion Shreyas Iyer will be batting at the no. 4 spot followed by KL Rahul who amazingly led the team in the first two matches. However, his wicketkeeping performance was not so good. India’s vice-captain Hardik Pandya will also be back in the squad. Ravindra Jadeja’s place can be in doubt as he failed to produce anything special with his bat.

Bowlers

India’s fast bowling trio Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami will be seen playing together in the 3rd ODI. Ravichandran Ashwin will be seen leading the spin-bowling department. If Jadeja doesn’t get to play, it will be Kuldeep Yadav who will make his return in the squad.

Probable Playing XI:

Rohit Sharma(C), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja / Kuldeep Yadav, R Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj
