Kamal Haasan looks fantastic in the latest Indian 2 posters.

In conjunction with Kamal Haasan’s 68th birthday celebration, director Shankar debuted fresh posters for his upcoming movie Indian 2 on Monday.

“Wishing our treasure, the multi-faceted talent @ikamalhaasan sir a very Happy Birthday!,” the director tweeted while sharing the new poster.

In the image, Kamal is seen wearing his “Indian thatha” makeup and making a fist-clenching gesture as though he is celebrating a triumph. When it comes to radiating energy, it appears that “Indian thatha” is still showing its age.

After spending more than two years in production limbo, Indian 2 began filming again in September of this year. When a terrible accident on the film’s set left three people dead and numerous others injured, filming was stopped in February 2020. Since they were also on the sets when the accident occurred, Shankar and Kamal both afterwards recalled how they managed to avoid getting wounded.

The Covid outbreak and subsequent lockdown put the manufacturing in jeopardy. Shankar and Lyca Productions, the movie’s producers, were at odds over the incomplete work. The producers even requested a court order prohibiting Shankar from beginning work on a new film with Ram Charan before finishing thi movie.

The movie Indian 2 is anticipated to hit theatres in 2019. The movie is the follow-up to the 1996 hit Indian, which told the tale of an elderly vigilante with extraordinary abilities. He goes on a murderous rampage to put an end to the threat of institutional corruption.
