The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) announced today the players of the India squad for the ICC T20 World cup 2022.

The India squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is as follows;

Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh.

Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, Mohd Shami, Raviand  Bishnoi as stand-by. Ravindra Jadeja, unfortunately, can’t participate this year due to his knee injury.

BCCI also announced the India squad for Australia T20Is and South Africa T20Is. They are as follows;

Australia T20Is

Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohd. Shami, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah.

South Africa T20Is

Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Mohd. Shami, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah.

Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be reporting to the NCA for conditioning-related work while the home series rages on against Australia and South Africa.

Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan, though been a part of India’s Asia Cup squad, have not made it ininto the 15-member squad. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was however ruled out due to a knee injury.

The ICC T20 World Cup starts on 16th October 2022 and will be a delight to watch for fans as usual.
