Iceland Cricket comes up with hilarious six-word tweet to brutally troll Babar Azam

Former Pakistan skipper and one of the best modern-day batters, Babar Azam is undoubtedly among the most successful batters in the current generation. But his batting average has always been one of the big questions among cricket fans, experts and fans of the game. A lot of experts have called him out for the slow batting approach at the bigger stages.

In the same line of events, Iceland Cricket, who are mostly known for their hilarious and humorous posts on X (formerly Twitter) recently came up with a brutal six-word tweet for Babar Azam, which has left the fans in splits.

Recently, the famous X account for global statistics “World of Statistics” came up with a post on X in which they asked a question, “What is statistics that still hasn’t gone back to normal after the pandemic?”.

In an amazing and brutally hilarious response, Iceland Cricket reposted this post by mentioning former Pakistan skipper and wrote, “The batting average of Babar Azam,” as an answer to this question.

Talking about the recent performance of Babar Azam, he couldn’t live up to the expectations of the Pakistan cricket fans in the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023. He could score only 320 runs in 9 innings of the 9 matches, he played for Pakistan in the league stage of the tournament; his average was only 40.00 with a below-par strike rate of 82.90, including 4 half-centuries.

Apart from this, Pakistan was also knocked out from the league stage of the tournament under his captaincy as they lost 5 out of the total of 9 matches, they played in the entire tournament. In the further line of events, Babar Azam also stepped down as a skipper of the Pakistan Cricket Team across all formats.

He was replaced by pacer Shaheen Afridi in T20Is and batter Shan Masood in Tests as captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team.
