Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has registered an official complaint with the Apex Council about the crowd behavior during the Indo-Pak game. Apparently, during the game, some slurs and provocation were done by the Indian fans in Ahmedabad during the game on October 14. In the game, the Men In Blue repeated the history and took down their opponents once again against Australia.

After the game, Pakistan Cricket Team director Mickey Arthur complained about the lack of Pakistan fans playing in the minds of the players. “Look, I’d be lying if I said it did [not affect us],” Arthur said when asked about the partisan crowd. “It didn’t seem like an ICC event to be brutally honest. It seemed like a bilateral series; it seemed like a BCCI event. I didn’t hear Dil Dil Pakistan coming through the microphones too often tonight.

Indian spectators displayed inappropriate behavior: PCB

In the complaint filed by the Pakistan Cricket Board, it says that the Cricket Governing Council must ensure that the players are protected from all inappropriate behavior from the fans.

“The Apex Council and each of its Members should take such steps as it considers necessary to prevent the occurrence at International Matches played within its jurisdiction or those played as part of an World Event (as applicable) of Inappropriate Conduct by spectators and to ensure that any such conduct is dealt with in a timely manner by the Member or the Council (as applicable) or others before, during and/or after the International Match (as may be appropriate).”

“Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the Council over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023,” the PCB said in a statement.
