Hrithik’s tantrums put the producers of Vikram Vedha in trouble
Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is currently preparing for his long-awaited film Vikram Vedha.
The actor is set to play a gangster in the upcoming movie.
Vikram Vedha Based on the Indian folk tale of Vikram and Betaal.
It features the story of a tough cop who sets out to hunt down a dreaded gangster.
The film is set to hit screens on September 30th.
He will be sharing the screen with Saif Ali Khan.
The film is the official Hindi remake of the Tamil film of the same name directed by R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.
The original Tamil movie was reportedly shot on a budget of Rs 12 crores and ended up earning a whopping Rs 60 crore!
But sadly, the chances of Hrithik’s film becoming a bumper hit are very slim.
And Hrithik himself is to blame for this.
Hrithik’s antics
The South Indian film industry is an extremely professional place where even actors are sensitive to a film’s budgets.
But Hrithik seems to have brought his Bollywood superstar vibes and thrown the film’s budgets haywire.
Apparently, director duo Pushkar-Gayathri were keen on completing the movie on a limited budget.
They were keen to shoot the action scenes in the dusty streets of UP as it would have given a gritty feel and also kept the costs in check.
However, Hrithik himself had other ideas!
He flatly refused to shoot in UP and instead, urged the duo and the producers to recreate the same lanes of Uttar Pradesh using lavish sets in Dubai!
Obviously, this made the budget skyrocket!
As per reports, its budget has now exceeded that of Hrithik Roshan’s mega flop Mohenjodaro.
We hope the film garners a great box-office response so that the producers don’t bleed.
