‘How come he spend 250 cr on this stupidity?’ – Kangana Ranaut lashes out at Karan Johar for his latest movie ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’

Bollywood veteran actor Kangana Ranaut has once again launched a verbal attack on popular director and producer Karan Johar. The veteran producer made his comeback as a director after 7 years as he directed a Rom-com Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The movie collected around INR 11 crores at the box office.

The movie features multiple stars like Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and others. However, Kanagan as usual took no time and slammed Johar for making this movie. She said that how can anyone spend INR 250 crores to make a movie like this? She believes that the audience can’t get fooled anymore.

“Audience can’t be fooled anymore. They have rejected atrocious and creatively poor films full of fake sets and over-the-top fake costumes, who dress like this in real life also where are tacky houses like those in Delhi??? What rubbish!!!! Shame on Karan Johar for copying his own vintage movies of the nineties… also how come he spent 250 cr on this stupidity? Who gives them this kind of money while real talent struggles to get funds !!!” Kangana was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Kangana said that why Johar needed INR 250 crores to make a daily soap in the name of a movie. She also compared the movie with the recently released Hollywood movie Oppenheimer and said that the Indian audience is watching a movie related to nuclear weapons while Johar is making a daily soap.

“Indian audiences watching 3 hours long film on the origin of nuclear weapons and intricacies of atomic science aur yahan nepo gang ka wahi saas bahu ka rona, lekin why he needs ₹250 cr to make a daily soap …. ??? Shame on you Karan Johar for making the same nth time … calling yourself the flag bearer of Indian cinema and perpetually regressing it … Don’t waste funds it’s not an easy time for the industry, retire now and let young film-makers make new and revolutionary films …” she added.
