Meanwhile, ahead of the clash, the Pakistan cricket team received a grand welcome in Ahmedabad as they arrived for their highly anticipated clash with the Indian cricket team. They received a warm welcome with vibrant hues as rose petals rained down upon the visiting team, and the air echoed with the rhythmic beats of traditional dhols.

Pakistan have never defeated India in ODI World Cups

The cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan is renowned for its intensity, drawing a significant global audience when the two nations compete. In the history of ODI World Cup matches India has consistently outperformed Pakistan. The two teams have clashed in seven Men’s ODI World Cup matches, with India winning all seven of them.

There will be multiple great personalities and VIPs will be attending the epic clash between the arch-rivals. From Sachin Tendulkar to Amitabh Bachchan, the stadium is set to be filled with icons. Apart from them, there are more than 60 Pakistan journalists who have received their visas to cover the match between India and Pakistan. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf will also arrive in India on October 12 to attend the match from the stadium with the Indian Cricket Board chief Jai Shah.
