Here’s what Rihanna’s charging to perform at Anant-Radhika’s pre-wedding celebration
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festival starting off with a ban today. The pre-wedding event is set to include sports personalities, businessmen and celebrities. One of them includes pop icon Rihanna, who is set to perform at the event.
Other big music artists including Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, Pritam and Hariharan will also be present. However, Rihanna is definitely the biggest name in the bunch. She is also one of the highest-paid artists and sure enough, hasn’t come cheap.
How much is Rihanna charging?
Her popularity makes one wonder how much she is being compensated. As per reports, Rihanna is bagging somewhere around 50-55 crore for her performance. This equates to somewhere around 8-9 million USD.
While the amount might be jaw-dropping for most people, it is quite normal for an artist this successful. She also hasn’t done any private performances in a while, so it might have affected her performance charge.
Although, Rihanna isn’t the first international music artist to perform. Prior to her, Beyoncé performed at Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s sangeet back in 2018. At the time, Beyoncé reportedly charged Rs 33 crore, or around $4 million. John Legend, another big music artist, performed at their Engagement.
As for Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s pre-wedding, Chris Martin and The Chainsmokers were commissioned. Later on, Maroon 5 performed at their Mangal Parv ceremony in Mumbai.
Looking at all the glitz and glamour of the past, the current situation is not entirely unbelievable. In fact, Mukesh Ambani is likely the only one who could’ve made it possible. Anant and Radhika’s pre-wedding event will be held for three days including different ceremonies and a host of other activities.
Other big names attending the pre-wedding event include Bill Gates, Bob Iger, and Mark Zuckerberg. The Indian side of the guest list includes Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and many more.
