A funny incident took place on the third day of the second Test between Australia and Pakistan. The play had a slight delay as the third umpire was stuck in the lift. The players who were in the middle did not know of the reason and were wondering the reason behind the delay in play. Both the Australian and Pakistan players were wondering why there was a halt in play.

The players from both sides then came to know the reason. Steve Smith and David Warner were in the middle along with the Pakistani players who were in the huddle. When the Australian batting duo came to know the reason, they were in bits. Warner in particular could not control his laugh and reacted to the bizarre incident in a funny way that caught everyone’s attention. The delay occurred due to the third umpire getting stuck in an elevator.

Before it could happen, the bowlers from Pakistan were on fire. Shaheen Afridi with the new ball created mayhem as he dismissed Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne in quick time. While Khawaja was dismissed for a silver duck, Labuschagne was reduced to just 4 runs. Pakistan had Australia at 6/2 when the incident happened. The home side was in some trouble.

From the other end, Mir Hamza bowled well and put pressure on the Australian batters. He first dismissed Warner for just 6 runs and got rid of a dangerous batter like Travis Head for a golden duck. Australia was 16/4 in no time and seemed like out of the innings. They needed a big partnership to get going. In came Mitchell Marsh who joined Smith to provide the same.

While Smith tried to hold on end up, Marsh played the aggressive role and punished the Pakistani bowlers. At the end of the tea break, Australia are in a better position with a score of 107/4. Marsh has raced away to 57*(77), while Smith has patiently scored 26 runs in 76 balls. Australia lead by 161 runs at the moment on the moving day of the Test with a motive to surge ahead in the game.
