Warner Brother’s Harry Potter will make a comeback on screens as a television screen. Many years back, J.K Rowlins wrote a book that goes with the same name. It was adapted into a movie, which had eight seven sequels. The first part was released in 2001 and ten years later, the last part was released. These movies were released in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

However, 15 years later, in 2026, a TV series related to the book and the movies will be released. In 2021, it was reported for the first time that a TV series related to Harry Potter would be released. Meanwhile, on February 24, Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav announced that the TV series based on J.K. Rowling’s arguably finest works will be released in either 2025  or 2026.

“We’ve not been shy about our excitement around Harry Potter,” Zaslav recently addressed Wall Street analysts, mentioning his recent trip to London where he met with members from HBO, Warner Bros, and JK Rowling for a discussion.

“Both sides are thrilled to be reigniting this franchise. Our conversations were great, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead. We can’t wait to share a decade of new stories with fans around the world on Max.” He added.

The Harry Potter TV series will be aired on Max and HBO

The series might make a debut on Max and HBO. While Max will be the holder of the online streaming rights, HBO will hold the TV rights. The target is to release the series in the first quarter of 2025 but the team won’t shy to delay it to 2026. Talking about the star cast, the members’ names aren’t released yet.

“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere,” Radcliffe told ComicBook.com.

“It’s an interesting mix of Brits and Americans, most of whom have some experience working with streamers and many of whom have shepherded projects in the sci-fi/fantasy space,” as per the site update.
