Gavaskar predicts the finalists of T20 World Cup

Sunil Gavaskar is one of the sharpest minds in world cricket.

Naturally, when the Little Master speaks, the world sits up and takes notice.

Gavaskar has made some bold predictions regarding the T20 World Cup.

Predicting the results of T20 matches is a rise business as it’s the most unpredictable format.

Even in the current edition, there have been massive upsets with Namibia beating Sri Lanka and Scotland getting the better of West Indies.

However, Gavaskar sounded pretty confident about his predictions when asked about who will the the finalists in the tournament.

“India, definitely. And because I am in Australia so I am going to say Australia,” Gavaskar said before the warm-up match between India and Australia on Monday.

Interestingly, even fellow commentator, Tom Moody echoed a similar opinion.

Moody said, “I am going to give you the top four. Australia, England will go through from their group. I think Pakistan and India would be leading the other group. The finalists, I have to say Australia and India.”

Team India defeated Australia by 6 runs on Monday in a warm-up fixture after Mohammed Shami defended 10 in the final.

India will next play New Zealand in their second and last warm-up match on Wednesday at the Gabba, Brisbane.
