Gadar 2, Sunny Deol’s most recent release, created history by becoming the first Indian movie to open in Monterrey, Mexico. The movie, a follow-up to the popular 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, debuted in theatres on August 11.

Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma are the actors in the Anil Sharma-directed film Gadar 2. The story of a Sikh man who travels to Pakistan to save his kid is depicted in the movie, which is set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.

Gadar 2 making waves in Mexico:

When it comes to the bottom line, Gadar 2 had a phenomenal second Sunday, earning close to 40 crores. The movie has eight times surpassed the Rs 30 crore threshold throughout its ten-day run.

A true blockbuster would be content with Rs 20 crores or more per day for this long of a run. The movie has also surpassed the 350 crore mark in the interim. Gadar 2 is a great hit and breaking records.

Sunny Deol said in a press conference when asked about the success of Gadar 2: “We had the conviction and we decided to go for it. Field khaali thi 22 saal tak. How come this movie isn’t on the list? Toh baat kuch aur hoti, isi film bana rahe hote. In the field. Islay hum aaye aur humne hamara kaam kiya!”

Box Office:

The box office collection for Gadar 2: The Katha Continues has been phenomenal both domestically and internationally. The Indian box office for Sunny Deol’s film brought in Rs. 499 crores, and foreign markets brought in Rs. 48 crores. The film’s total revenue, as a result, is Rs 507 crore (gross).

Gadar 2 made over Rs 13 crore on day 11, which was the film’s lowest day-by-day take, according to the industry tracker Sacnilk. The tracker also estimates that on the movie’s 12th day, or second Tuesday, it might bring in about Rs 11 crores.

Pathaan was already beaten out by The Gadar 2’s magic in terms of second-weekend box office revenues, along with a number of other blockbusters. The Times of India reports that Gadar 2 broke Prabhas’s Baahubali 2’s previous record of Rs 80.75 crore by earning Rs 90.47 crore in its second weekend.
