Five Indian celebrities who died at a young age

Poonam Pandey passed away on Thursday at the young age of 32, which left fans in absolute surprise. None knew that she was suffering from cervical cancer. More than the disease she was suffering from, the fans are surprised that the actress died at a very young age. Often such incidents have occurred in the past which have left the fans in total shock. 

While Poonam was 32 when she died, some celebrities died at a similar age, or even younger than her. Some of them were way too young to perish. It left the fans in disbelief. Such news has made fans wonder how the celebrities manage to keep their private lives secret before the storm eventually hits.  

There are many celebrities in the past and in the recent past who have passed away way too soon. Some of them were suicides and others were unfortunate incidents that had no control of the individuals. Some of the deaths remain a mystery to date. Here are five such celebrities who have passed away at a very young age and had a bright career ahead of them.

5. Siddharth Shukla

Siddharth Shukla was a popular face on the small screen for a long time. The talented actor acted as a protagonist in many serials. At a young age, Shukla made a name for himself and earned a decent fan base. The number of fans for him increased when he joined Bigg Boss. 

In the 13th edition of the reality show, Siddharth emerged as the winner. His fans were happy for him. However, a few years after his popularity was on the rise, shocking news hit the fans. On the 2nd of September 2021, Shukla suffered a heart attack and died at the age of 40. 

4. Poonam Pandey

Poonam Pandey is a popular actress and a model. She has been a well-known figure among the Bollywood fans for her antics. The actress had walked the talk when she had gone naked as promised after India won the ODI World Cup in 2011 at home. She has become a sensation since then. 

In 2020, she married Sam Bombay and got divorced soon after complaining to him of domestic violence. In recent times, Pandey looked to be fine in her appearances on screen. However, not many knew the suffering she was going through, as she breathed her last at the age of 32. 

3. Jiah Khan

Jiah Khan appeared in three Hindi movies. One of them was popular, as she acted with a huge star like Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajini’. Born and brought up in London, Jiah wanted to pursue a career in acting. As a result, she moved to Mumbai hoping to get some chances in Bollywood. 

Apart from being an actress, Khan was also a singer. For her work in the debut movie ‘Nishabd’, Jiah got a nomination for ‘Best Female Debut’. She also acted in ‘Housefull’ before passing away at the very young age of just 25. In 2013, Jiah decided to end her life by committing suicide. 

2. Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput still rules in the hearts of his fans. Even today, the fans trend the hashtags on X asking for justice for his death. His case has been going on in the court to date and there has not been conclusive evidence found for his death. 

Back when the news appeared during the pandemic, there was outrage from the fans. Over the years, it has transitioned into hate against Bollywood. In his acting days, Sushant acted in some of the memorable movies like ‘Chichchore’, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Dil Bechara’, and so on.

 

1. Madhubala

Madhubala is probably the most popular celebrity on the list. She was one of the biggest female superstars in the 1950s and the 1960s. At the very young age of 8, Madhubala moved to Mumbai from Delhi in order to pursue her career in acting. She lived for 36 years and acted in more than sixty films. 

Her role in ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ one of the most viewed Indian movies of all time is still remembered by the fans. After marrying Kishore Kumar in 1960, Madhubala’s health started to deteriorate gradually. On 23rd February 1969, Madhubala breathed last to the shock of the fans.
