Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’s ‘Mast Malang Jhoom’ dance step sparks debate: Is Bollywood running out of original moves?
The title track for the upcoming action-thriller Bade Miyan Chote Miyan received a lot of praise. Following that, a new song from the film was released featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
Both actors shared a short clip announcing the release, and the song is now available on official channels. “Energy – MAST, Beats – MALANG, Groove – JHOOM. It’s time to dance to the beats of Mast Malang Jhoom!,” Akshay Kumar wrote in his post.
While the reception for the song is great, some fans have raised questions regarding the choreography. The dance reminds the fans of Naatu Naatu from RRR. A few of them have started calling it a rip-off and flamed Bosco Caesar for the choreography. Many called it a straight-up copy of the award-winning Naatu Naatu.
It is not uncommon for movies to take inspiration from others, and the same goes for choreography. In Bollywood, which is especially focused on music and dance, there will be similarities in many places. While many fans understand this, it will not stop a few from pointing out small things.
Here are some of the fan reactions –

Agree or disagree?
Similar to #NaatuNaatu but magnified due to better screen presence of #akshaykumar and #TigerShroffpic.twitter.com/RHxJfZK126

Prior to this, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff both saw crowd-throwing slippers. The actors were visiting Lucknow for the promotion of their upcoming film when the situation got out of hand.
There was a massive crowd gathered which soon got out of control. Slippers were hurled towards the stage with chants of ‘Akshay Kumar Murdabad’. The police opened a lathi charge in order to take control of the situation.
As per reports, performers were tossing freebies to the audience. This led to chaos and subsequently devolved into the aforementioned situation. The actor requested the crow to maintain and be careful.
“Aap logon se haath jodd kar vinti hai please araam se, hum aapke yahan aaye hain , aapse milne, aapse baat karne, please apne aapko dekhiye, saath mein ladies bhi hain bachche bhi hain, main aapse request karta hun araam,” Akshay Kumar said.
