Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, Zoha Rahman, Paresh Pahuja, and Garrick Hagon feature in Anshuman Jha’s directorial debut, which received a standing ovation in Australia last month and will now make its North American debut in Chicago thanks to this selection. On September 24, Anshuman Jha, Rasika Dugal, and Arjun Mathur are slated to present the movie in Chicago. They are really eager to see the Windy City.

Arjun Mathur claims, “I was captivated to ‘Lord Curzon Ki Haveli’ as soon as I read the script, mostly because I could not categorise it inside any one definite genre, and secondly because despite that, my director Anshuman had a really clear vision for it. And I’m delighted to report that the movie has stayed true to its original idea, creating an intriguing chamber drama I like to refer to as a psychological black-comedy thriller. I find that Indian cinema rarely explores these themes. I’ve never had so much fun with a character as I have with Rohit, the role I play in this movie.”

Arjun Mathur drops truth bombs:

He further added, “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli is not only the fastest feature film I’ve ever made, but it’s also unusual in that it was entirely captured with just one 35mm lens. I’m doubly excited for the North American debut as the closing film at CSAFF ’23 and the Canadian premiere as the opening film at ISAFF ’23 in Vancouver after our world premiere at IFFM 2023, which received an amazing audience response that far surpassed any of our expectations. I am really eager for viewers from all over the world to see this movie. It really is a one-of-a-kind piece of art.”

For the unversed, Bikas Ranjan Mishra wrote it as a black comedy. Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, Paresh Pahuja, Zoha Rahman, and Tanmay Dhaninia are the movie’s stars. The world premiere of “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli” will take place on August 17 at the prestigious Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne 2023 as the “Centrepiece spotlight Film.”
