Exclusive! Actress Daisy Shah gets candid about her debut short film ‘The Elephant In The Room’

After donning many hats in the Indian film industry, actress Daisy Shah is all set to be seen as Meher. Moreover, she will be taking a new step in her career as she is debuting in her very first short film. The ace filmmaker Aartie Miranni is here to amaze the audience with the short film, ‘The Elephant In The Room’.

As the actress went on to her new venture, we decided to chat candidly with her about her upcoming film. Daisy confessed to us that she decided to take this film after seeing the relationship between Aartie and her husband. Moreover, she was also eager to do the film as it is about Ganpati. In a candid conversation, Daisy dropped more details and insiders on her upcoming short film.

We asked her about the reason behind doing this short film and the actress replied, “Firstly, Aartie and her husband are my family friends and I can never say no to them. As it was their first venture as producers they asked me if I would want to play a part in their short film. Also, the movie is about Lord Ganpati, so who would ever say no to it?”

Talking about her preparation for the role Daisy said, “The night when I came back from London to shoot for my show. I was quarantined for seven days and after that, I went back to shooting. I didn’t need much prepping for this character as I am almost playing myself. I very much relate to the character personally.”

She even says how well the film has been curated. Daisy adds, “The makers have done a splendid job in curating the film. They have beautifully brought life to the script on screen. And the things that go around within the situation during Ganpati where people are putting up their filters. And then at one particular point in time, all the filters have been taken off, and reality comes out.”

Daisy Shah adds, “For me, I believe in the Almighty. We bring Ganpati at our place every year and I think that is the significance I hold for him but again for me God does not have a form. I will bow down to any stone also. I will consider that as a god. I have faith.”
