Elden Ring Shadow of Erdtree reveal set to get gameplay, trailer reveal on Wednesday

A recent post from the official Elden Ring account has the entire gaming community excited. The long-running rumours for the DLC expansion are now true, with the reveal planned for February 21.

Players will now have the first glimpse of gameplay for Shadow of the Erdtree. The reveal will be on the Bandai Namco YouTube channel and already have its premier lined up. As per the official statement, the reveal will be three minutes long.

Fans have very high expectations after the massive release of the original game. Elden Ring is considered one of the best games of this decade and has crossed over 20 million in sales.

What will be in the DLC?

The DLC is coming after two years of the base game release. While only the official reveal will tell what awaits for, players have already made some base speculations.

Last year, an image announcing the DLC was released. It contained a person looking like an in-game lore character ‘Miquella’ riding a horse. It is believed that the upcoming expansion will lean heavily on this story.

First, the DLC is dubbed as an expansion, and expansions are usually pretty big. They add another huge area with new stories, enemies and much more. For example, the most recent expansion for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty added a ton of content.

As per previous speculations, the game will be more than half the size of the base game. Furthermore, players will see a new region, bosses and dungeons. A popular content creator for Fromsoftware game speculates swamp region.

Further speculations say that the DLC will be released on June 21, however, players will have to wait and see. As for now, the announcement only says gameplay reveal, so it is best not to expect much.
