Meanwhile, Ankita recently shared a candid revelation about her past relationship with the late Sushant Singh Rajput in a conversation with Munawar Faruqui. She disclosed that their breakup had occurred unexpectedly, leaving her blindsided. In a heartfelt statement, Lokhande conveyed that there was no apparent major thing that led to their separation.
“No, there was no reason. I was blank. Ek raat mein cheezein palti meri life mein (Things changed in my life overnight).” Ankita was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

Sushant and Ankita came close during their popular daily soap serial ‘Pavitra Rishta’. They were liked by the fans very much as a couple. However, they were separated in 2016 and it was the time when Sushant was becoming a renowned name in the Bollywood industry. The actor was found dead in his apartment in 2020 and the mystery of his death is still unknown as many of his fans believe that it was a murder while reports suggested that it was a suicide.
The actress emphasised the sudden nature of their breakup, shedding light on the complex dynamics of their relationship. She mentioned that during one’s ascent to success, numerous individuals attempt to exert influence.
“Jab aap upar chad rahe hote ho na career mein, aapko 10 log aur kaan bharte hain. Jo bhi ho raha hoga, mujhe nahi pata us time. Theek hai, maine kabhi roka bhi nahi (When you are climbing the ladder of success, 10 people try to influence you. I don’t know what was happening that time. It’s okay. I never even tried to stop him),” she said.
