Naane Varuvean is a Tamil film released today. It stars Dhanush and Selvaraghan in the lead roles. The movie is directed by Selvaraghan and written by Dhanush. This film marks the third time Dhanush is playing dual roles.

After Thiruchitamabalam, this is Dhanush’s biggest release. Simce Ponniyin Selvan 1 is releasing tomorrow, the makers of this film decided to release the movie today to avoid any clash whatsoever.
One of the primary reasons for this is that the team of PS1 is aggressively promoting the film whereas Naane Varuvean had no promotions.
Naane Varuvean is the story of twin brothers, Anbu and Karthi both played by Dhanush.
The term “déjà vu” isn’t typically used in Indian film, however Naane Varuvean has been called a thriller based on the idea. Another peculiar aspect of the book is its plot, which revolves around the reunion of two middle-aged brothers after one of their children becomes ill.
This film marks the reunion between Dhanush and his director-actor brother Selvaraghan.
Dhanush is having a stellar year when it comes to Box office success both domestically and internationally. This movie looks like it will only add a feather to his well-adorned hat.
This movie definitely makes the cut for a weekend binge especially since its runtime is just 2 hours 2 minutes. Talk about short and crisp.
