Dravid recovers from Covid, reaches Dubai
Rahul Dravid has made a quick recovery from Covid.
As per reports, Dravid reached Dubai late on Saturday (August 27) night.
He had tested positive on Tuesday before the team’s departure to the UAE for the six-team Twenty20 tournament and was forced to miss the flight.
The BCCI had named VVS Laxman, who heads the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, as assistant coach in Dravid’s absence.
VVS flew back home on Saturday night itself and won’t be with the side for their tournament opener on Sunday.
VVS was appointed because it was initially expected that Dravid would take at least one week to get back.
However, the former captain’s recovery was quick.
This is good news for the Indian team as the Asia Cup 2022 is an important tournament.
