Did Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo watch Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’ with family in Dubai?
Footballing great Cristiano Ronaldo may just be a fan of Rajinikanth like many of us. While it is not sure if he watched the latest Thalaivar-starrer Jailer, he did share a photo from the movie theatres in Riyadh on the exact day Jailer was released there. The photo shows the GOAT-status footballer with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, his three toddlers – one son and two daughters and Cristiano Ronaldo Junior.
Cristiano Ronaldo is not the first international celebrity to be associated with the latest release by Rajinikanth. Previously, political figures like MK Stalin and Pinarayi Vijayan were seen enjoying the movie. Moreover, Rajinikanth himself is expected to accompany Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a special screening. According to reports, the superstar has already reached Lucknow for the same reason.
Jailer minted 450 crores INR in the opening week
‘Jailer’ is Rajinikanth’s return to the silver screen after a gap of two years. In the first week, the movie minted an impressive amount of 450 crores INR. The story revolves around a jailer who restricts a group of troublesome prison inmates who try to free their leader. The movie has found encouraging reviews and would be expected to clock some impressive business in the days to come.
Talking of Cristiano Ronaldo, he recently won his first piece of silverware with his new club Al Nassr after winning the Arab Club’s Champions Cup, defeating arch-rivals Al Hilal in the final. Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in a 2-1 win for the Saudi giants. However, following the win in the final, Al Nassr started their campaign in the Saudi Pro League with two consecutive defeats.
Despite impressive transfer activity in the recent European summer window, Al Nassr have not been able to translate their expected success on the pitch. They opened their season with a 2-1 away loss to Al-Ettifaq and followed it up with a shocking 2-0 home defeat against Al-Taawoun. As of now, they find themselves in the 15th position with a -3 goal difference and no points from two games.
