It was a video of the past where Virat had attended the Ganpati festival in Mumbai in one of his friend’s residences. In another video, it was claimed that Virat was in Ayodhya to attend the event.

In a video that has gone viral on X, it was claimed by the fans that Virat had been to Ayodhya in a car before opting out due to a family emergency. Given the fact that the Indian Cricket Board announced the family emergency of the right-handed batter, it might be the reason behind him not taking part in the ceremony.
