Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly sent a message to his Al-Nassr teammate Abdulrahman Ghareeb for his goal against Oman. In the match against a fellow Asian side in the ongoing AFC Asian Cup 2024, Ghareeb played a brilliant hand in his stay on the pitch. For his performance, Ronaldo has reportedly appreciated by sending a message. A journalist has commented about the same taking to X.

Saudi Arabia were up against Oman in the AFC Asian Cup 2024. In the match, there was not much happening for Saudi Arabia, as Oman seemed to dominate the game in the first 75 minutes. Oman were leading 1-0 at that point in the game. A game could not have gone worse for Saudi Arabia, as they were playing their maiden game of the tournament in front of a capacity crowd.

Abdulrahman was brilliant in the middle after being substituted. The Saudi Arabian striker made inroads into the game and helped Saudi to score a goal in the 78th minute of the game. The equalizer was very essential for Saudi Arabia in order to stay alive in the game. It helped his side to change the momentum in their favour which resulted in their win.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s message to Abdul Rahman Gharib

In the last minute of the extra time, Ali Albulayhi scored a goal and helped the side to claim a 2-1 win over Oman. The substitution of Ghareeb helped Saudi Arabia to win the game. Speaking about the same, the journalist on X wrote that Ronaldo wished his teammate an impactful role in the win of Saudi Arabia. The message claimed that Abdul was surprised by the message of Cristiano.

“Abdul Rahman Gharib, the Saudi national team player, was surprised by a private message on his phone from his captain in the Al-Nassr team, Cristiano Ronaldo, congratulating him on the ‘wonderful’ goal he scored against the Oman national team in the Asian Cup, and assuring him that he expects more from him in the upcoming matches,” wrote the journalist as he congratulated Abdul Rahman Gharib.
