They have claimed that in July-August earlier this year, Hardik reportedly sought increased remuneration and brand endorsements from Gujarat Titans’ owner, CVC Capital Partners, but faced direct refusal. Subsequently, he approached Mumbai Indians, finalising a deal in August. The announcement was delayed due to the ODI World Cup.

“As per inside reports, Hardik Pandya was asking for more money and brand endorsements from Gujarat Titans’ owner CVC Capital Partners but management refused him directly. This incident happened somewhere in July-August. Later Hardik contacted Mumbai Indians management with the same demands. Mumbai Indians assured him of brand endorsements. The deal between Hardik and Mumbai Indians was completed in the month of August but due to the World Cup, they didn’t disclose it.” Said Cricket Cult.
