Box Office Updates: Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ pounces past expectations crosses INR 200 Crores worldwide
In a spectacular display of box office prowess, Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ has roared into the cinematic arena, raking in an impressive collection over its opening weekend. Despite carrying an ‘A’ certification, the film has managed to captivate audiences, emerging as a blockbuster with a staggering three-day total of ₹176.58 crores in its Hindi version alone.
The box office figures for ‘Animal’ stand at ₹54.75 crores on Friday, ₹58.37 crores on Saturday, and ₹63.46 crores on Sunday, showcasing its consistent appeal throughout the weekend. This cumulative success places ‘Animal’ in the league of top-grossing films, firmly establishing its dominance in the Hindi film industry.
Comparisons with other major releases are inevitable, and ‘Animal’ holds its ground admirably in the face of competition. In the Hindi version, it stands at ₹176.58 crores over the weekend, trailing slightly behind Jawan, which amassed ₹180.45 crores from Thursday to Saturday. Notably, the star-studded film Pathaan trails behind at ₹161 crores from Wednesday to Friday.
Does Clash dent Animal’s box office collection?
The clash with other releases, particularly Sam Bahadur, has impacted ‘Animal’s’ potential to surpass records further. Industry analysts speculate that if ‘Animal’ had enjoyed a solo release with more screens and shows, it could have easily challenged or even overtaken Jawan’s three-day numbers.
Expanding its reach beyond the Hindi-speaking audience, ‘Animal’ has also made a mark in South Indian languages, accumulating ₹25.18 crores in three days. The film garnered ₹9.05 crores on Friday, ₹8.90 crores on Saturday, and ₹7.23 crores on Sunday, contributing significantly to its overall success.
When considering the cumulative box office collections across all languages, ‘Animal’ stands tall with a massive ₹201.76 crore. The film’s compelling narrative, coupled with the stellar performances of Rashmika Mandhana, Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor, has undoubtedly resonated with audiences across the nation.
‘Animal’ emerges not only as a box office powerhouse but also as a testament to the star power and storytelling prowess that continue to captivate cinema enthusiasts. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur is also increasing its business in the county. The film revolves around the life of former Indian Army Chief General Sam Manekshaw.
