‘Salaar: Part One: Ceasefire’ made a huge splash at the box office. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan. Fans were super excited, and the movie became the biggest hit of the year, beating other big movies like ‘Animal’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘Pathaan’ on its first day.

After Prabhas’ last movie, ‘Adipurush’, didn’t do so well, everyone was looking forward to ‘Salaar’. And guess what? People loved it! The action-packed film got a lot of love from fans, making around Rs 95 crore on its first day at the domestic box office.

The movie did especially well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it made a whopping Rs 70 crore. In Telugu areas, almost 89 out of every 100 seats were filled. It also did good business in Karnataka and Kerala, making Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore on the first day.

‘Salaar’ did even better than other big movies released in 2023, like ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’, and ‘Animal’. It became the biggest hit of the year, leaving behind Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’, which made Rs 57 crore on the first day, and ‘Jawan’ and ‘Animal’, which made Rs 75 crore and Rs 63 crore, respectively.

Salaar is set to be a two-part movie

The cool part is that ‘Salaar’ is not just one movie—it’s going to have two parts! The first one is ‘Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire’, and the second is ‘Shouryaanga Parvam’. So, there’s more excitement coming our way!

The actors did an awesome job too: Prabhas played Deva/Salaar, Prithviraj Sukumaran as Varadharaja Mannar, Jagapathi Babu as Rajamannar, and Shruti Haasan as Aadya. They have been phenomenal, with amazing action sequences and a thrilling storyline.

The movie was released in many languages, like Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. It’s going head-to-head with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki‘ at the box office. As more and more people are loving ‘Salaar’, it’s becoming the movie everyone’s talking about in 2023!
