Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant Jiya Shankar talks about not seeing her father for 20 years before her eviction
The second season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss OTT is on its final week and the fans will get to see the winner on August 14. Only 5 contestants are left in the house who are fighting for a trophy. However, considering the fanbases, Abhishek Malhan and Elvish Yadav are the top contenders to lift the trophy.
Meanwhile, another contestant Jiya Shankar, who recently got evicted from the show just ahead of the finale week, talked about not seeing her father for 20 years before leaving the show. Jiya revealed that she doesn’t even know where her father is and how does he look like.
“No, we haven’t spoken to each other. I don’t even know where he is, what does he look like, or have heard his voice. I haven’t spoken to him in the last 20 years and there is no contact. He has another daughter from his second marriage. He has a wife and a daughter. He has moved on in life. Why will he bother about us now?” Jiya was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Whenever I feel unsafe or if I’m not able to give it back to someone: Jiya Shankar
Jiya further added and said that she misses her father a lot as he was really protective when she was just a child. She expressed how she is unable to describe how badly she misses her father’s absence when some elderly person tries to say something to her.
“When I see other families together. Sometimes when an elderly person says something to me and I’m unable to express or react I feel his absence. When I was a kid and if anyone would ever say something to me, I would run to my father and complain and he would take a stand for me. He was very protective towards me. Whenever I feel unsafe or if I’m not able to give it back to someone, I miss him a lot,” he added.
